Undergraduate research offers students an opportunity to immerse themselves in intellectual discovery. Students can explore applications of mathematics and computation to answering questions in biology via programs to provide this opportunity or by working with individual faculty.

  • individual faculty: for a listing of UC Davis faculty who do interdisciplinary research in quantitative biology and bioinformatics, see the "research" section of the web page for the Quantitative Biology and Bioinformatics minor.
  • CLIMB: the Collaborative Learning at the Interface of Mathematics and Biology program, funded by the National Science Foundation, provides UC Davis juniors with experience in quantative biology research. For more information, see
