Quantitative biology uses mathematical tools to answer questions in biology. At UC Davis, deparments in every college on campus offer courses in quantitative biology and provide potential research opportunities for undergraduates. This site serves as a clearinghouse to facilitate your exploration of how you can be involved.

UC Davis has a variety of quantitative biology courses taught across the campus. We list some of them here and provide downloadable files of course materials used within the College of Biological Sciences.

For students who want breadth and depth in quantitative biology, we recommend the Intercollegiate Minor in Quantitative Biology and Bioinformatics.

Many faculty welcome students with interdisciplinary interests for research in their laboratories! We list here several options for pursuing research that combines biology with mathematics.

We provide PowerPoint presentations to give you an overview of campus efforts in undergraduate quantitative biology education.
